Blocks, blocks & more blocks

M has a huge bag of blocks that he loves to dump out in the floor right after they've been cleaned up. So here he and J are enjoying those blocks.

J is turning 8 soon!

I can't believe that J is turning 8 in 2 weeks! We are having his birthday party and you are more then welcome to join us for that. He wants to be baptized that day too so if you can make it we'd love to have you. Thanks again for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Recovering

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I am home and trying to rest. I wish there were more I could say but at least the D&E went well even if the doctor that I met on Monday for the first time that was supposed to do it somehow cut his finger and was himself in surgery Tuesday. So I ended up with some doctor I'd never even met doing the surgery and thankfully he was the right person to do it. I'm grateful for the nurses and doctors at both MCV & Dr Fitzhugh's office, they were extremely kind to G and I both. Doing another ultrasound so we could have the piece of mind that we needed. But know I'm doing alright just a little sore on my softest spot(I've been watching too much Pooh) and a sore throat but other than that I'm just numb. Feeling like this has all just been a bad dream or that possibly I was never pregnant. I'll just leave it at that.

I guess I could have waited...

So I figured this is much easier if that is even the right word then having to tell each person I know individually. I had my ultrasound today to find out that there was no heartbeat. Thank you for everyone who has kept us in their prayers, we do appreciate it! Because I am so far along they have to do a different procedure which will take 2 days. We are sad but know that things happen for a reason and hope that we will be able to try again sometime.

Will Friday ever get here?

I know its Wednesday and all but I think this week is taking forever for me! I did have to go to the doc today because of some strange pressure I've been having and with everything that's happened to my sister I've been SCARED to death that something is wrong. Not to mention the optional test I decided to do came back abnormal, meaning the baby could have an extra chromosome 13 or 18. And my Spina Bifida test also came back abnormal too.

But the nurse practitioner did say everything was ok and possibly normal from this technically being my 4th pregnancy. Things are not the same as they used to be. So I feel a little better. Although that still means we don't know boy or girl yet. So I pose this question to you, if this is our last child does it matter if we don't find out the sex? I've always said I don't know how people don't want to know. So why am I having these thoughts now? Well if Friday ever gets here and I decide I want to know(and we have a cooperative baby) I will definitely tell everyone!!!

Is there anything new?

Is there anything new with us? That's a good question, we are hoping to find out this Friday boy or girl!!! Who knows maybe we'll have a New Year's baby! I will definetly let everyone know as soon as we do. Any name suggestions? I'm not saying we'll use them but some ideas would be ok. G and I take forever to pick a name, we just put a LOT of thought into it. You know kids can be so cruel and we don't want it to start with a baby's name!

First day of 2nd grade!

Can you believe its already the third week of school?! J seems to be having a great year so far. We can't believe he will be 8 next month! So as tradition with parents and their child's' first day of school no matter what grade(well maybe) we started off this morning with a picture of J. Of course M wanted to be in the picture also! Have a great year J and try your best! We love you!!

Summer?

Where did the summer go? It doesn't even seem like it should be July much less September! I'm really curious why the summer flew by, and nope I don't have an answer why. We didn't do a lot this summer either. But that's ok we spent it together. So I hope everyone else had a great summer vacation!
